Danielle has been studying herbalism and making herbal remedies independentlysince 2010. She has taken both formal and informal training courses in botany, ethnobotany, dendrology, biology, ecology, permaculture, natural interpretation,wilderness first aid and natural/home birth assistance.

Shortly after moving to Montana from the Midwest in 2015, Danielle wasintroduced to Essiac when she started working for Debbie Jakovac at Blue MoonHerbs, where she gained valuable experience for four consecutive years and wasintroduced to Mali Klein. Mali encouraged her to grow her own herbs and starther own cottage industry blackrootapothecary.com
